Day 1: Overnight Flight
Depart for Kenya and prepare for an unforgettable journey through the plains of Africa.
Day 2: Nairobi, Kenya
Arrive in the heart of safari country. Settle in at your own pace and enjoy the evening at leisure.
Day 3: Nairobi to Mount Kenya
Travel toward Mount Kenya, an extinct volcano with peaks reaching as high as 17,000 feet. This afternoon, enjoy your first game drive at Ol Pejeta Conservancy.
Day 4: Mount Kenya, Buffalo Springs Reserve & Shaba Reserve
Discover the magic of Shaba, Samburu, and Buffalo Springs reserves, home to some of Africa’s most exotic wildlife, including Grevy’s zebra and the reticulated giraffe. Set out on a game drive in search of the “Big 5.”
Day 5: Samburu National Reserve
Enjoy a morning game drive in Samburu National Reserve before returning to Shaba for lunch. Later, continue your safari experience with an afternoon game drive and a traditional Sundowner along the Ewaso Ng’iro River.
Day 6: Shaba Reserve to Nyahururu
Journey to Nyahururu, named from the Maasai word for waterfall. Enjoy a free afternoon at your luxury resort surrounded by tranquil forest.
Day 7: Nyahururu to Lake Nakuru
Travel through beautiful mountain scenery to Lake Nakuru National Park, one of the Great Rift Valley’s soda lakes and a haven for wildlife. Enjoy an afternoon game drive.
Day 8: Lake Nakuru
Wake up in Nakuru’s acacia forest and set out on a morning game drive. This is rhino country, with wildlife both on the ground and in the air. Enjoy a traditional bush breakfast and an afternoon game drive before taking in one of Nakuru’s unforgettable sunsets.
Day 9: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara
Arrive at Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Kenya’s best destinations for game viewing. Visit a local Maasai village, enjoy an afternoon game drive, and experience a traditional bush dinner with a Maasai dance performance.
Day 10: Maasai Mara National Reserve
Spend a full day exploring the grassy plains and rolling hills of the Maasai Mara during a full-day game drive. This region offers one of the most iconic safari experiences in Africa.
Day 11: Maasai Mara to Nairobi
Return to Nairobi and visit the farmhouse of Karen Blixen for a true Out of Africa experience. Tour the preserved rooms and gardens overlooking the Ngong Hills.
Day 12: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
Visit Ocean Sole, a social enterprise that turns ocean debris into colorful works of art. Then continue to Amboseli National Park for an afternoon game drive with views of snowcapped Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Day 13: Amboseli National Park
Begin the day with a sunrise game drive, followed by breakfast at the lodge. Continue exploring Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drives. This area is one of the best places in Africa to see elephants up close.
Day 14: Amboseli to Nairobi
Return to Nairobi for your flight home. A day room may be reserved for travelers who would like to freshen up prior to departure.

Extension highlights include Arusha, Karatu, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and additional game drive experiences.
Travelers choosing the extension will depart Amboseli for Arusha, Tanzania, then continue to Karatu and Serengeti National Park. Enjoy full-day game drives in the Serengeti and visit the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world, known for its beauty and abundant wildlife.
Please note: soft duffel bag luggage is required for this extension, with a maximum weight of approximately 33 pounds.
Important Travel Information
This tour has an overall activity level of Level 3. Travelers should be comfortable with longer days, early mornings, warm temperatures, uneven terrain, and getting in and out of safari vehicles.
This tour does not involve extensive walking, but it does include long days in safari vehicles over bumpy and dusty roads. Travelers should be prepared for limited restroom access during certain portions of the journey and extended periods of sitting, sometimes up to six hours.
This tour is not recommended for travelers who require mobility assistance devices or have significant back, knee, or respiratory concerns.
Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.
Children under the age of 13 are not permitted on this tour.
Passports are required. Travelers are responsible for securing proper documentation, visas, inoculations, and travel requirements. A Kenyan eTA is required at the traveler’s expense. Travelers continuing to Tanzania may also need a Tanzania visa and Yellow Fever certificate.

Final payment is due by November 5, 2027.
